This product is made of Stoneware clay. The inside of the vessel is coated with Lead and Cadmium free glaze. High Quality acrylic paints have been used to paint the outer surface, which then has been sealed with food safe sealant. The mug can be used to sip your favorite beverage or as a décor piece. Please note that the mugs are not oven, microwave or dishwashers safe. The mug must be washed gently with water by hand and must not be scrubbed as that might lead to wearing off the paint and the sealant on the outer surface of the mug. It is perfectly fine to use a mild sponge to clean the glazed part of the mug.
